MONEY TIPPING

At banks or the Post Office, the official exchange rate is available. The inernational bank charge is 3 guilder commission per transaction. Verify the exact outcome beforehand and never change money on the street.

Restraurants, hotels, etc. include a service charge, so tipping is not expected but always appreciated. Taxi drivers usually get 10%. A toilet attendent gets 50 cents.

All public pay phones are green. There is the cin type (grey) and the cardphones (blue). Phone Cards are available at Post Offices, Tourist (WV) Offices, rail stations and shops with the 'Telefoonkaart' sign. Grey phones accept 25 ct and 1 guilder coins.
