What I like about Onyx, is there’s no bullshit. No “featuring whoever” on every track, just twelve tracks, (twelve strong tracks) including one, featuring Havoc of Mobb Deep.
This album is a great start to the onyx comeback.
Kicking off with the excellent opening track, ‘WHAT’S ONYX’, we instantly remember what made them one of the most original rap groups of the 90’s.
‘Hold Up’ featuring Havoc on chorus, is heavy! Mad hip hop and the perfect guest appearance for this track.

‘Gangsta’ is HOT. Their definition of a gangsta girlfriend. It’s got a real old skool tinge to it, which sounds tite. It’s one of the smoother tracks but definitely on my favourites list.
‘Bang 2 Dis’ is Sticky at his finest. It’s dark and aggressive and has a kind of Westcoast feel to it as does Big Trucks.

But my ultimate favourite has to be ‘Onyx Is Back’. OH MY GOD!!!! Tim Westwood is gonna have a field day in the club with this one. Fredro sounds crazy on this track. The beat is off the hook. Please please please let this be a single!!!!! You have to play this LOUD!
They have also done quite a deep track towards the end of the album, ‘Feel Me’, recorded on September 11th. The lyrics are real! Definitely feelin them, especially Sonee who really shines on this track in my opinion.
Onyx have returned like they’ve never been gone. Bacdafucup Part II is full of grit and grime and ready to be let loose to the hip hop world. It’s a must people!
