Amina

Tunisian singer-songwriter Amina has broken musical and cultural barriers since the early 80’s, rapping in Arabic over a musical piece by Grand master Flash, acting in movies such as Bertolucci’s Sheltering Sky, recording with the likes of Malcolm Mc Laren, Mark Saunders (Tricky, Neneh Cherry) or the Renegade Soundwaves. She is also a symbol of integration, freedom and spirituality for all women, especially muslins.

After a first acclaimed LP Yalil, a second incredible album Wa De Ya featuring duets with Lenny Kravitz and Nutsrat Fateh Ali Khan amongst others, Amina returns with a new LP entitled Annabi which reflects once again her unique fusion of oriental tradition with cutting edge flavors and beats.

Together with her live Band she will be performing the 7th March at Cargo, in the centre of Old Street, London. A show not to be missed!
