phatmag:
And
how do you feel it's going?
Jeru:
It's well, it's well, it's the most satisfying feeling in the world
you know what I am saying. To be able to have an idea and make it into
a living thing, you know.
phatmag:
Did
you find being on someone else's label and working under someone else's
production restricting?
Jeru:
I mean the production no, because I always had a say in what I rhyme
to, beats wasn't just made and handed to me. I always had some part
in the production, saying I want this sound, I want this sound, I want
that, I want that, make my vocal sound like this, so that'sŠ. you know
like I said before, that's why all the records that we did before sound
different from all the other records, because it was also my influence
in there. You know, it's not difficult it's easier, because you're doing
every thing yourself, you know, it's like would taking a shit be easier
if somebody you know what I am saying had to do it for you? Had to sit
you down and wipe your arse nah! It's quicker and easier and better
and more satisfying when you do it yourself.

phatmag:
How do you think the coming US election will effect you?
Jeru:
No matter who wins I'm f@#$ed.
phatmag:What
makes you say that?
Jeru:
I mean that's the system, I'm a black man what you talking about? You
know, no matter where you at in the world you're f@#$ed. In Africa you
know what I am saying, so that's the system.
phatmag:
Do you think there would soon be a black president?
Jeru: I don't know, I don't know, not in my lifetime, I don't
think.
Jeru: I'll answer you like that.
phatmag:
On a lighter note. What do you think of the English girls,
cause I've heard you've been busy?
Jeru: What do I think of the English girls? I like the English
girls, I think they are nice, cute, every thing. You know, I just like
black women you know, I like Asian girls, you know what I'm saying. So
what's up?
phatmag:
So I've heard you've been busy, so what?, have you sorted yourself
out?
Jeru: With what? Girls?
phatmag:
Hmm yeah!
Jeru: Hey! You know, I don't kiss and tell.
