phatmag: Who are you working with at the moment, for your album and projects?

Jeru: Right nowJeru The Damaja, you know what I'm saying?

phatmag: Are you producing the tracks?

Jeru: I'm just trying keep it all in-house and develop my skills.

phatmag: Who are the other members of your clique?

Jeru: It's really no bodiesŠ it's a secret.. secret, you know what I'm saying, underground techniques, but I mean it's gonna be revealed too. I like to keep you hanging on so that when it finally comes it hits you, you know. I rather it be a surprise to you than it being a disappointment.

phatmag: Any chance of working with DJ Premier again?

Jeru: I don't really know, that's not the direction I'm going in you know what I am saying, I'm just trying to develop my art and take it to a next level you know what I am saying, it's really myself right now, that's what I'm into. This is what Jeru The Damaja wants for Jeru The Damaja. Just to be in a position in order to create how I wanna create and do the things I wanna do.
