phatmag: I've noticed you've
done quite a bit of CO-writing on this album, now does that make it
more personal?
Cassandra: For sure.
Charisse::
You have to be apart of your own project. And we were on each album
but people don't really know that, when they interview us. But on the
first album we wrote nine and the second we wrote about five or six,
and this album we wrote six. So you have to be a part of what you are
singing.
phatmag: "That Other Woman", I know was written
by Joe, but have any of you been That Other Woman? Either the wifey
or the other squeeze? Because it's a reoccurring theme.
Cassandra: (giggles.. the wifey)
Charisse: I mean that's what we're
saying, You can be the wifey, I've been the wifey and not knowing that
I was still the other woman, you know what I mean, you can be unknowingly.
Cassandra: Me or Cherries have
never walked into a relationship knowing that somebody has a wife or
whatever, no that would never go down.
phatmag: But have you been in
a relationship and found that you weren't the only one?
Cassandra: For sure, for sure.

Charisse: I think that comes with
life's experiences, especially if you're dating and you're young. Nobody
really knows what they want until you are in your thirties but even then
you know.
Cassandra: And then, you still
don't know.
Charisse: It's just the roller
coaster ride, the roller coaster of love I guess.
phatmag: Well it sounds like
you mean what you sing.
Charisse: You know what I mean
it's not a tragedy, it's just another phase.
Cassandra: Just another phase
and it's fine and we're OK.
phatmag: Are you guys gonna have
an album with at least half of it saying good things about guys?
Charisse: You have to listen to
this one, come ooon.
Cassandra: We have "More
Than a Friend" on there, we have "Visit Me", we have
"Come Over", we have "Be A Man", which is a good song for
guys, it's basically saying we understand that you have to work, you have
to do your stuff and we're here, go ahead and be a man, do what you suppose
to do, and we will still love you, we're here waiting for you.
Charisse: So you check out those
songs we told you and you listen.
phatmag: But that's like three or four songs out of fifteen.
Charisse: We can get some of that
onŠ. Come on lets start from the top, you read them off to me...
"Visit Me" then I would say "Doing To Me", "Be
A Man", "Last Night",
Cassandra: Cause we're asking,
don't you want me, don't you need me? We are on the submissive side, we
are not on the get out of here side.
Charisse: "Wasn't A Friend",
that's about five right there or six and that's an equal five, five, five.
Cassandra: and "That Ain't
Me"
Charisse: Oh yeah! That's even
more good than bad.
Cassandra: And then we have the
duo with Malik Pendleton and that's very very innovative for relationships
out there, "Out Of Sight Still in Mind". All right.
Cassandra,Charisse:
so that's about seven.
