Diss Of The Year Award goes to
Craig David

One of the biggest announcements of this years Brit awards, was the six nominations of UK's golden boy, Craig David.

A record braking six nomination that both excited the general public and the music industry alike, unfortunately this turned out to be one of the biggest disappointment's ever.

The night kicked of with Robbie Williams doing his thing, followed by Craig who had obviously had enough time to write some extra lines for his rap section. He knew in advance, along with the rest of the world, that he wasn't going to get an award. (Shame)

Now if any one tells me that these award ceremonies aren't a load of rubbish then I will eat my Timberland boots. First of all, how can any one find out that they are not going to get an award before the award ceremony has even started and secondly how can Craig David not get anything. Can anyone honestly tell me that these awards can't be fixed? The Sun newspaper leaked the story a week before the show, I mean come on.

He is undoubtedly one of the most talented and successful artist to emerge in the past year, after Robbie of course, but we all understand that. I couldn't help but notice that Craig was a little disappointed and decided to give it a mention at the end of his performance, "six nominations but no Brit for C.D." he said.
"But Craig lets look at this carefully", the Brits is all a publicity game and without a doubt you've won that game. I don't think any one got as much press as you did, neither has anyone been talked about as much as you was in the pre and post Brit. You had Sir Elton John saying you are the best vocalist in the country at the moment, U2 dedicating their performance to you and he even had Noel Gallager diss A1 because of you, what more do you want boy?.
If this isn't worth more than six Brits then I don't know what is.

Whilst being interviewed backstage for the BBC, Craig mentioned that J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez had asked him to work with her, but he had refused because he wants to break the American market by himself without any help from J-Lo and if he recorded a song with her then people would say J-Lo helped him. (isn't J-Lo a stupid name?) When asked to comment about his lack of awards Craig said " He doesn't need an award because just seeing people at his shows, sing along with songs, that he had written in his bedroom was reward enough".
