The Bad Boys Of Hip Hop

Biggie, Tupac, Big L, we even lost a Lost Boy, Freaky Tah. Are we missing something here in the UK what is wrong with these people? Is Hip Hop imploding? Why is this success destroying some of Hip Hop’s most vibrant and inspirational artist? Is the industry really full of thugs? Or are these just young boys who have to play up to the stereotype images that they have created and have come to represent.

Snoop Dog (Murder Charge), DR Dre (Gun Possession), ODB (Just mad and in Prison), Puffy (Gun possession), Eminem (Gun Possession), Jay Z (Accused of Stabbing someone in a club). These guys are at the pinnacle, the very top of their trade with fans around the world, they need to wake up and smell the coffee. They will not be able to cope in prison, why? Because they are a bunch of softies. Jay Z can get up to fifteen years in prison if found guilty, can you imagine him in prison? I mean right know he looks tough and bad while on the outside but a few weeks in prison alongside some real hard boys doing two or maybe three life sentence's they will soon have him wishing he had chosen to do classical music instead of Hip Hop.

Lets imagine Puffy in prison doing some hard time, he would have to buy his safety and pay off the prison guards and kiss the butt's of the real hard cases just to stay alive. When Tupac was incarcerated he was allegedly raped, we don't know how true that is but just imagine.

As for Mr. Slim Shady (Eminem) oh my goodness! can you see him getting out of the shower in one piece? I don't think so, that little pretty blond boy damn would he be popular.

Hip Hop is so powerful and so successful why cant they see that it's time to regroup and move forward, use the wealth and power to consolidate the position they have. Can you imagine Bill Gates going into the office of one of his competitor's and beating the hell out of him? No I don't think so. Last year we had Puffy beating the hell out of a fellow record company executive and then Settling out of court to avoid prison. It don't make no sense. Well we wait for the headline to pour in this year, it will be great press but what a shame for the music.
